If you are anything like me then you would know that choosing an outfit is quite challenging. I could stand before the wardrobe for a long time before I make my choice. I, then, decided that perhaps I should decide on my fashion shoe first so that the rest could follow.
After I made this realisation, everything just fell into place. Let’s face it, every woman wants to wear every shoe in her wardrobe but never gets the chance to. I’ll tell why that is so. You decide on your outfit first which means your choice of shoes is dictated by what you’re wearing. In turn, you miss out on many opportunities to wear your fashion shoes. For example, the other day I let my outfit dictate my shoe choice and this is how it went. I wanted to be comfortable so I opted for a pair of blue denims paired with a lovely spring halter neck top. The top was a light pink shade which meant I could only wear my light pink sandals and not my red hot high heel shoes. Do you see what happened there? I really wanted to wear those red sexy high heel shoes but I didn’t build my outfit around those sexy high heel shoes. Those shoes would have been comfortable too because I have a great job and not having to walk around much is one of the benefits.
So the next day, I decided to wear my red hot sexy high heel shoes and this is how my morning went. I formulated a plan for preparing my outfit. The plan is (in this order): shoes, top or dress, trousers or skirt, accessories and hair. I took my red sexy shoes out of the wardrobe and looked at them for a moment. I chose my lovely red chiffon top that elegantly flows against my body. Next, I chose my black trousers over which I let my red chiffon top flow. Then I opted for silver jewellery in the sense of earrings and a bracelet. I decided against a necklace as the chiffon top had enough personality of its own. Finally I slipped on the first item on my list, my sexy high heel shoes. Then I took a step towards the mirror and was fabulously surprised at how wonderful I looked.
